About Us

Lincoln County North Carolina is home to 86,810 citizens reported by the 2020 census.  Geographically, Lincoln County stretches from Denver and Lake Norman in the east to Tuluca and the foothills in the west.

The county was formed in 1779 and named for Benjamin Lincoln, General in the Continental Army, a direct report to George Washington during the American Revolutionary War.  The Lincoln County Democratic Party aligns itself with the long history of American Patriotism in Lincoln County.  We are loyal to the Constitution of the United States and dedicated to improving the lives of Lincoln County Citizens.

Eastern Lincoln County has seen substantial growth and is  considered a bedroom community of Charlotte. Yet due to our expansive geography, Lincoln County remains a rural community.  This creates unique needs and challenges for all of our citizens.

  • Lincoln County Democrats support President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and we are confident it will allow for NC to improve our roads, rebuild bridges, rail lines, expand access to clean drinking water and ensure every Lincoln County resident has access to high-speed internet, particularly in the western part of the county.
  • Lincoln County Democrats work to insure our Public Schools have the resources to provide outstanding education to all students.
  • Lincoln County Democrats believe equal pay for equal work and raising the minimum wage.  We support the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to attract businesses creating more jobs and opportunities for Lincoln County Residents.
  • Lincoln County Democrats fight to insure everyone has access to quality Healthcare.
  • Lincoln County Democrats are inclusive and pledge to protect the rights of all people regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or economic status.
  • Lincoln County Democrats and Democrats from across the state are united by shared values that define who we are and what we stand for.
