Dear Voter,
Thank you for visiting and committing to educate yourself on repairing your NC Voting Registration.
- How did this happen? The State of NC Board of Elections reviewed voter registrations across the state and could not verify some registered voters IDs (driver’s license or last 4 digits of the SSN).
- Who are we? Lincoln County Democratic Party volunteers are helping people repair their voter registrations by sending postcards with needed info to voters who may not know how to get a registration repaired…. The postcards say: “The Board of Elections could not verify your ID (driver’s license or last 4 digits of your SSN). Update your registration now to vote a regular ballot in November—otherwise, you may need to vote provisionally. Learn how at: ncsbe/gov/registrationrepair. There are also volunteers available at LCDP Headquarters Mon-Sat 10am-4pm who can answer questions and help you understand what you need to do.
- When? The best time to repair voter registrations by updating the registration is NOW, way before the November 2026 election.
- Why? This will eliminate headaches when trying to vote in the fall. Voting provisionally means the voter casts a ballot and then has a few days to return with the missing information to the Board of Election or the ballot is not accepted and not counted.
- What are other options to repair my Voter Registration? Providing the last four social security digits or your Driver’s License Number, (whichever is required), to the Lincoln County Board of Elections in person is a really great option.
