Congratulations to Lily McCabe as one of LCDW Scholarship recipient. Ms McCabe is a graduate of West Lincoln High, and the NC School of Math and Science. She will be attending University of North Carolina Charlotte in the fall. Lily’s major is undecided but she plans to join a political group of club and get involved in student government to see if she wants to go in that direction. She earned excellent grades in honors and advanced placement classes and was involved in leadership roles in multiple organization. She was vice-president of the WLHS Student Government, Secretary of Beta Club, editor of the yearbook and Chairman of the City of Lincolnton Student Advisory Council. She was selected to attend NC Governors School and was a member of the Battle of the Books team that won the championship 3 times. Lily started her own photography business. Her photos have been featured in two magazines and a Lincoln county paper. Her paper that she presented to LCDW was phenomenal and we are happy to present her with this scholarship ! We wish her much success on her journey !
